Race 2: No.5 Jenni Moreese
The Team Geran-trained galloper is high-flying of late and looks well placed here to bring-up the hat-trick in this event.
Last start, the Maurice mare made it back-to-back wins when she took out Class 3 at set weights, here over 1810m.
Drawn wide in gate 10 (of 13) that day, Corey Sutherland settled her at the tail of the field before circling the field passing the 600m mark, then taking the turn as the widest runner, she still had plenty left and after taking the lead inside the final 200m, went on to score comfortably in the end, with some to spare.
Stepping-up to BM78 opposition here, she draws gate seven and maps to settle back again with Sutherland retaining the ride for this assignment.
A track specialist here, she drops in weight and in career-best form, should prove hard to beat in this contest.
Race 4: No.7 Moonhaven
Mark Currie saddles-up Moonhaven here who is in top-shelf form now and looks set to go on with it in this event.
Last start, the Shalaa gelding made it two-straight wins when he took out a BM75, here over 1000m with Jace McMurray aboard.
Settling mid-field early, he worked into the race approaching the turn, then tracked wide and finished best in the end to claim a half-length victory on the line.
Taking on BM85 company here, he draws ideally in gate three and maps to settle better than mid-field with cover.
Cody Collis steered him to victory two starts back and returns to take the reins for this assignment.
In winning form of late and unbeaten at the track, he should play a major role in the outcome of this contest.
Race 5: No.8 Zoufani
The Tony Gollan-trained galloper is third-up today and should now be ready to produce her best in this event.
Last start, the Zousain mare showed a ton of improvement second-up when she beat all but one home in a Class 3 at set weights, over 1200m at Doomben.
Cejay Graham settled her mid-field one off the fence before tracking into contention on the home turn where she ran home strongly and arrived in time to claim the silver medal in the race, beaten a neck on the line.
Drawn wide here in gate 11 (of 12), she maps to cross and settle mid-field or better with Graham steering the ship again.
Already a track & distance winner and fitter for two runs back, the four-year-old can be there at the finish of this contest.
