Race 4: No.2 Santanova
The Michael Lane-trained galloper is in red-hot form of late and looks well placed here to make it four-straight in this event.
Last start, the Santos mare rang-up the hat-trick when she claimed victory in a Rating 72+ here over 1000m.
Drawn the outside gate, Chris Parnham settled her at the tail of the field before making progress on the turn, then railing like a greyhound, got the split at the right time and finished best, arriving in the last stride to grab the gold medal on the line.
Drawn out again here, she jumps from gate seven and maps to take a sit behind them all again with Parnham in the saddle again.
Hard to vote against winning form and up against similar company here, she looks the testing material again in this contest.
Race 7: No.5 Queen Aria
The Adam Durrant-trained galloper is high-flying this time in and looks in the mix again for another podium finish in this event.
Last start, the Pariah mare made it seven-straight top-three finishes (four in a row this campaign) when she finished third in a One Metro Win Hcp over 1300m at Pinjarra.
Drawn wide that day, William Pike settled her back in the field before tracking wide on the turn and while little to no chance of winning, still hit the line strongly, arriving in time to claim the minor prize in the race.
Drawn wide again here, she jumps from gate 10 and maps to taker a sit behind them and save her best effort for the run home.
Lucy Fiore steered her to victory three starts back at Pinjarra and is legged aboard here for the ride in this assignment.
At her peak here, she steps-up to the 1500m which looks ideal for her at this stage of her preparation and with a trouble-free run, she can figure at good each-way odds.
Race 9: No.10 Essentric Nature
The Team Williams-trained galloper is second-up here and boasting a solid record at Ascot, looks ideally placed here for a crack at securing his third win at the track.
Last start, the Savabeel gelding resumed off a 15-week spell and did well to beat all but one home in a Rating 72+ Hcp over 1400m at Bunbury.
Lucy Fiore settled him back in the field before scouting wide on the turn and in the run home, passed all but the leader to grab the silver medal on the line.
Stepping-up a little to the 1500m here, he draws ideally in gate two where he maps to do no early work as he settles near mid-field for the first half of the journey.
With Fiore aboard again, a clear passage on straightening can see the five-year-old arriving as a real threat to this contest.
