The Tony Gollan-trained galloper gains a start here and in top-shelf form, looks every chance of going on with it in this event.
Last start, the Exceed And Excel gelding made it four-straight when he clobbered his rivals in a Class 3 Plate, here over 1000m.
He reared at barrier rise and was a clear last before Bella Youngberry had him box-seating mid-race, then on straightening he came off heels and quickly took control, going on to score by almost two lengths on the line.
Stepping-up to BM78 company here, he draws wide in gate 13 and maps to cross and settle near mid-field with Youngberry in the saddle again.
Already a track and distance winner and in iron-clad form at the moment, the five-year-old should prove hard to beat at the weights in this contest.
Race 8: No.5 Polyglot
Michael Freedman saddles-up Sydney-sider Polyglot here who is at the top of his game and looks ideally placed to make his Eagle Farm debut a winning one in this event.
Last start, the Lonhro gelding made it two wins from his past three starts when he beat all of them home in a BM78 over 1100m at Rosehill.
Lumping 60kgs that day, Tim Clark settled him third, one off the fence before easing off heels on the turn, then in the run home, finished the strongest and warding off late challenges, held on well to win.
Stepping-up to Open company here, he gets the gun-run in gate one and has Ben Thompson aboard for the first time.
At his peak and down 7kgs for this assignment, he looks the testing material in this contest.
Race 9: No.12 Barbray
The Chris Waller-trained galloper has found his mojo for this campaign and ticks enough boxes to suggest he is a leading contender for the big prize in this event.
Last start, the Zoustar gelding came off a big win at the Sunshine Coast and franked that effort by taking out a BM70 Hcp, here over 1815m.
Jake Bayliss settled him back in the field to the turn before weaving through traffic and once securing a clean passage, finished too strong for them and went on to score convincingly in the end.
Stepping-up to BM80 opposition here, he draws out in gate 11 but will most likely settle back in the field again with Bayliss retaining the ride.
Already a winner at the track and dropping 5.5kgs for this assignment, the five-year-old looks every chance of bringing up the hat-trick in this contest.
