Doomben racing takes place on Saturday, September 7 with a nine-race program set for the QLD metro meeting.

Race 1: No. 7 Counter
Took him a while to break his maiden but the five-year-old gelding now has two wins during this long campaign.
Both of his career wins have been over 2000m here at Doomben and he will get conditions to suit on Saturday again.
James Orman will need a good ride from barrier 15 but anything over $5 is a plus.
Race 2: No. 7 Ready Azz Eva
This Rob Heathcote trained gelding has been placed twice in four runs so far this campaign and both were at this track and distance.
He made up plenty of ground late in a restricted open class race last time out and he will appreciate the big step back in grade for this assignment.
Race 5: No. 9 Naval Trader
Lightly raced five-year-old gelding who has missed a place only once in his 11 start career to date.
Closed out last campaign with a nice win over 1400m in a benchmark 70 here at Doomben with 59.5kg and found the line well first up when third behind Daytona.
Will benefit from that run and has drawn perfectly in barrier four.
Race 6: No. 8 Caboche
Started this campaign in some quality races in Sydney before Chris Waller sent him north.
He has been beaten as favourite at his last couple but has lost few admirers as he finds the line the line quite well.
Back to 2000m suits as does a firmer track.
