Caulfield racing takes place on Saturday, March 16, with the 10-race program on All-Star Mile Day.

Race 1: No. 7 Carini
Lightly raced former import who won an open handicap at his second Australian start during the spring.
He’s been competitive in everything he has contested since arrived and both runs this prep have been full of merit in a higher grade.
Gets out to a more suitable distance now and will be nearing full fitness.
Race 4: No. 2 General Beau
Consistent performer who is closing in on $1 million in prize money from 28 career starts.
Three of his five career wins have been at Caulfield and he was beaten less than two lengths behind Doull in the Group 2 Caulfield Sprint at this track and distance in the spring.
Jamie Kah is riding well and can take a sit in behind what looks a solid tempo up front.
Race 5: No. 4 First Immortal
He’s a very progressive four-year-old who went to a whole other level during the spring.
Was a dominant 3.5 length winner here at Caulfield during that prep albeit in a benchmark 76 handicap but he did carry a whopping 63kg that day.
This is short of his preferred distance but looks a winnable race for him first up.
Race 8: No. 1 Mr Brightside
He’s a six-time Group 1 winner including two so far this prep and I’m unsure if there is a better or more consistent race horse in the country right now.
Flew past a similar field in the C.F Orr first up here at Caulfield and will only be better over 1600m now.
The race should set up for him well as there is a heap of pace on up front and barring bad luck, he should be winning again.
