Katoto can go close in race two. The Chris Waller filly gets out to the 1600m for the first time and has had the two runs this time in for a fourth at Warwick Farm first up over the 1200m before a last start third behind Regal Ambition over the 1400m at Caulfield on a day that played into the hands of the leaders. Form from the Wawrick farm race has been red hot with three winners coming out of it, including Sequinned, while she was just a tad keen early on last time. The daughter of Wooton Bassett was a big improver on benchmark figures at her only previous third up run when stepping up from a Maiden win to Listed level. With any degree of pace in the race, she should be hard to hold out late the piece. 

Keen on the old-timer, Pounding, in the Coongy Cup. The eight-year-old resumed off a 10-week break recnently at Caulfield in the Feehan Stakes over the 1600m and settled last in the field of six before chasing well behind Pride Of Jenni, placing 3rd behind the tearaway, beaten just over three lengths in another typically honest performance. The Moody/Coleman galloepr went nearly nine lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is four lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner in this race. He was a four-length improver on figures at his last campaign when steppiing up to the 2000m and has scope to push forward from the wide barrier to land just behind the speed
