Ballarat Racing Tips for December 6- Kingswood the one to beat in the Ballarat Cup

Impressive win by Mostly For Show in the $150,000 Rebel Raider Series Final at Morphettville on November 22 and banking on the Richard Jolly galloper to repeat the dose in the opener at Ballarat. At Morphettville, he was in a hopeless spot from the 300m to the 100m before getting out and knuckling down late to get up right on the line from Bootlegger. The son of Vadamos went a very handy 9.1 lengths faster than standard benchmark in that race and has been solid from the back in slowly run races prior to that. That was his first win but he had been performing well in strong company at his last preparation, placing in three, including a runner-up at Group 2 level. Step to the 1400m looks ideal. 

Happy to be with Party Crasher in Race 8 at Ballarat. The last start winner was impressive on Melbourne Cup day, coming from worse than midfield to score over the 2000m ahead of Pittsburgh Pirate. Party Crasher went 6.9 lengths faster than standard and those figures have been backed up with a couple of the beaten brigade, Oraqua and Sacrify, coming out and winning since. Another from South Australia, he went from strength to strength with every start at his last preparation, while he should enjoy a nice trail from barrier 7 with Beau Mertens to ride. 

Sticking with Kingswood in the Ballarat Cup. The Gavin Bedggood-trained galloper was saved for a Ballarat Cup tilt after being scratched from Caulfield last week and has been rock solid this preparation, building up to a narrow win ahead of St George at his most recent start, which came at Flemington on Melbourne Cup day. He meets that horse 1.5kg worse at the weights but draws much better. He made it back to back wins at a similar stage of his last preparation and is likely to tuck in just behind the leading bunch.
