- Race 5: No.5 Antique Miss
- Race 6: No.3 Buckets Ridge
- Race 9: No.8 Speak To Me
We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Ascot racetrack.
Race 5: No.5 Antique Miss
The Michael Grantham-trained Antique Miss is third-up here and should be ready to produce her best in this event.
Last start, the Domesday mare was second-up and showed a ton of improvement when she beat all but one home in a BM72, here over 1400m.
Chris Parnham was aboard that day and after drawing gate 10 (of 16), she travelled wide for most of the trip and did well to collect the silver medal in the race.
Ideally drawn here in gate two, she maps to settle better than mid-field (on the fence) and has William Pike back for the ride who boasts three wins and as many minor placings from his six previous rides on the mare.
Already a winner when third-up, she ticks most boxes here and should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 6: No.3 Buckets Ridge
The Team Williams-trained Buckets Ridge is three starts into this campaign and despite a wide draw here, still looks the one to beat in this event.
Last start, the Pride Of Dubai gelding made it back-to-back wins when he finished best to claim victory in the Listed Northam Cup with William Pike in the saddle.
Jumping from the car park in gate 13 (of 14), Pike settled him back in the field before timing his run to finish over the top of them and grab victory near the line, recording the best closing splits in the process.
Drawn out again here, he jumps from gate 11 (of 15) and maps to settle back as Pike sticks with him for this assignment.
Fourth-up and even fitter for this contest, he can bring up the hat-trick here.
Race 9: No.8 Speak To Me
Peter Giadresco saddles-up Speak To Me here who is three runs back from an eight-month absence and looks well placed here for victory.
Last start, the God Has Spoken gelding had it all against him where he finished unplaced in a 1 Metro Win event, here over 1400m.
With Brad Parnham aboard, he carried topweight (59kgs) and draw gate 10 of 13 where Parnham had him at work early, crossing to settle on the leader’s heels.
Coming off consecutive 1200m events, the extra trip proved too much in the end.
He draws better here in gate four where he maps to be possibly box-seating on settling and has William Pike back for the assignment.
Down 3.5kgs for this contest, the five-year-old should be at his peak for this and looms as a real threat to this field.
