The Neville Parnham-trained Star Power is second-up here and ticks enough boxes to suggest she can figure in this event.

Last start, the War Chant mare resumed of a lengthy 30-week break when she finished down the track, here over 1200m.

Trying to lead all the way, her condition gave out over the final 200m as she weakened out of it with Luke Campbell aboard.

Second-up and fitter, she gets the gun-run here in gate one and with plenty of early speed in this race, she maps to be box-seating with Campbell steering the ship again.

Already a winner when second-up and has had success on the track, a clear run to the line should see her there at the finish in this contest.

Race 7: No.1 Ice Pick Nick

The locally-trained galloper is second-up here and in top-shelf form of late, looks well placed to give this event a real shake.

Last start, the Frosted gelding resumed off a six-month absence when he beat all but one home in a BM72, here over 1100m.

He drew wide that day in gate nine (of 10), and after settling back in the field, ran home strongly to finish within a neck of victory.

Steven Parnham steered the ship that day and remains in the saddle for this assignment.

Drawn much better here in gate four, he maps to be just behind the speed on settling and the 1200m looks ideal, having already won three times over the trip.

The six-year-old has enjoyed success second-up previously and on home soil again here, looks the one to beat in this contest.

Race 9: No.3 Sunlit Fresco

Tim Crosby saddles-up Sunlit Fresco here who is high-flying this time in and well placed to continue the good work in this event.

Last start, the Fighting Sun mare came off an unplaced effort in Listed company when she bounced back to win a Class 3 Hcp, here over 1200m.

In the small field, she led from barrier to box after carrying 5kgs more than her previous run with Alex Hearn in the saddle.

The stable remove the winkers for this event and returning for the ride is Brad Parnham who has ridden the mare seven times previously.

Ideally drawn in gate two, she maps to settle in the box-seat just behind the speed and will have first crack at them on straightening.

A trouble-free run here and the four-year-old is more than capable of returning to the winner’s circle in this contest.
