Race 3: No.1 Tycoon Harry
The Jim Taylor-trained galloper is high-flying this time in and beating similar company last start, he looks set for a déjà vu performance in this event.
Last start, the Harry Angel gelding made it three-straight top-two finishes when he won a Rating 72 Hcp, here over the 1000m trip with Holly Nottle aboard.
Settling second, outside the leader, he stalked the front-runner to the turn before taking over inside the final 200m and from there, held off all the challenges in a gutsy performance.
Nicely drawn in gate three here, he maps to be on the speed from barrier rise and has Nottle steering the ship again.
Boasting three wins and four minor placings from 11 starts at the track & trip, its safe to say he is in his comfort zone here and looks the one to beat in this contest.
Race 6: No.4 Too Darn Stormy
The Daniel Morton-trained galloper is third-up here and after showing improvement off two runs back, he looks well placed here to claim a second career win in this event.
Last start, the Too Darn Hot gelding improved off an unplaced first-up effort when he beat all but one home in a One Metro Win Hcp, here over 1200m.
Settling mid-field early, Lucy Fiore worked him into the race near the turn, then in the run home, he hit the line well to grab the silver medal, beaten just half a length on the line.
From barrier eight here, he maps to settle back in the field and has William Pike back aboard for this assignment.
Fitter for two runs back and now placed at the track, he can go one better here and claim victory in this contest.
Race 7: No.1 London’s Image
The Team Williams-trained galloper is in great touch this preparation and looks well placed here to bring up her fourth win on the Ascot track in this event.
Last start, the Headwater mare came off a win in the Pinjarra Classic to finish a close-up third in the Listed Bunbury Stakes over 1400m.
Lucy Fiore settled her better than mid-field early before coming off heels on the turn, then ran home strongly but found two others just a little stronger on the line.
From gate six, she maps to settle near the speed with cover and has Fiore booked for the ride.
Boasting eight podium finishes from 11 starts here, she has track specialist status and at her peak after three runs back, she will take beating in this contest.
