Flemington Jumpout Blackbookers February 14 - A Lindsay Park debutant impresses
- Winnasedge, trained by Nick Ryan, expected to improve second-up.
- Perfect Gold shines with fastest time, eyes on trainer Dom Sutton.
- Tommyess shows impressive speed; debutant from Lindsay Park.
Ten jumpouts were conducted at Flemington on Friday morning, with some nice horses in action. We have found three horses to put into your blackbook, one from the Lindsay Park team, a horse moved to Dom Sutton and a Nick Ryan-trained galloper who will improve second-up.
Heat 2 - Winnasedge
I’m following the Nick Ryan-trained Winnasedge from this heat, the three-year-old resumed at Sandown a fortnight ago and ran very well in restricted room. I was thrilled to see him in the jumpout as I did think, seeing him in the mounting yard at Sandown that he could use some extra work. He sat back in the heat, as the Nick Ryan-trained horses often do but found the line super under a strong hold, expect to see him run a much improved race second-up.
Heat 3 - Perfect Gold
The four-year-old daughter of Gold Standard had seven-starts with the Lindsay Park stable and although she won two races, she didn’t show anything that resembled above average ability. Now with young trainer Dom Sutton, she was extremely impressive, winning under a hold, running away from her rivals in clearly the best time of the morning, goes straight in the blackbook.
Heat 6 - Tommyess
This was very impressive work by the unraced three-year-old son of Deep Field, Tommyess. Trained by Lindsay Park, he showed really promising natural speed to lead the heat then had Immortal Shield on his flank rounding the home turn and put two lengths on him under no riding whilst the stablemate was under the whip. We get a good form reference with Immortal Shield running a close-up fourth in town behind Stormfront last preparation.
