Rosehill racing takes place on Saturday, June 15, with the 10-race program set for the NSW metro meeting.

Race 5: No.8 How Dare You

Race 5: No.8 How Dare You

The James Cummings-trained galloper is in great form of late and second-up here looks a solid chance of back-to-back victories in this contest.

Last start, the Zoustar filly was resuming off a lengthy 22-week break when she recorded career win number two by taking out a Class 2 Hcp over 1300m at Scone.

She settled mid-field that day and saved her best for the run home where she finally found clean air inside the last 200m and finished too strong for them in the end.

The three-year-old won second-up last preparation and enjoys the sting out of the ground.

Kerrin McEvoy is legged aboard for his first ride on the filly and fitter for that first-up win, she is more than capable of beating them home again.

Race 6: No.4 Demiana

The Chris Waller-trained galloper is high-flying after two starts back and looks right in the mix among this field.

Last start, the well-bred I Am Invincible mare came off a first-up second placing where she went one better and fought out a gutsy win in a BM78 Hcp over 1200m at Warwick Farm.

She has an impressive resume, boasting two wins and five minor placings from her 11 career starts to date and has Josh Parr as the new pilot for this assignment.

The four-year-old has locked horns with city class company at her past half-dozen starts and looks right at home against her own sex again in this BM78 event.

Josh Parr has the reins for the first time and with a little luck from her wide draw here, she can go back-to-back in this contest.

Race 8: No.8 Speycaster

Another from the Waller stable, the five-year-old is looking to bounce back here and with all the important boxes ticked, he looks a winning chance in this line-up.

Last start, the Highland Reel gelding was in line for the hat-trick but put in a shocker, finishing a long way back in a strong BM88 Hcp over 2000m at Randwick.

He settled well back early and simply didn’t fire in the run, Josh Parr saying he never travelled well at any stage.

He is facing his first Listed challenge here and welcomes Jay Ford as the new pilot for this big assignment.

Fitness won’t be an issue after five starts into this campaign and he should be at his peak for this event.

He does no early work from gate two and currently at double-figures with early markets, he looks a sound each-way chance among this lot.

Race 9: No.6 Franz Josef

Three wins and a close-up second from his four career starts to date paint a picture of a galloper on the rise and this galloper looks all set for back-to-back victories in this event.

Last start, we tipped the Snitzel gelding as our best of the day and he didn’t disappoint, winning the BM72 Hcp, here over 1500m with Kerrin McEvoy in the saddle.

Leading from barrier to box, he took control early and never looked in any doubt of winning the race as he crossed the line 1.5 lengths ahead of the 12-strong field.

His three career wins have come in all conditions so the forecast Soft 6 (at this stage) will pose no problems for the three-year-old.

He looks a real promising type and already a track and distance winner, despite the slight class rise, he still looks the best of the day.
