Race 4: No.5 Voracious
The Tony Gollan-trained galloper is three starts into this campaign and ticks enough here to suggest back-to-back wins can happen in this event.
Last start, the Maurice gelding showed plenty of improvement when third-up, he took out a BM70, here over 1400m.
Taking over on the home turn, he ran home strongly and held off all challenges to take home the major prize that day with Ryan Maloney in the saddle.
Drawn in gate seven here, he maps to settle on the speed again with Angela Jones returning for her sixth ride on the five-year-old.
Even fitter here and already a two-time winner at the track and distance, he should prove hard to beat in this contest.
Race 5: No.8 Bossed Up
The Tony Gollan-trained galloper is in top-shelf form after three starts back and ticks all boxes here that suggest he can go on with it in this event.
Last start, the Better Than Ready gelding was third-up when he found his best form and took out a BM70, here over the 1000m sprint.
Ryan Maloney settled him back in the field before finishing best and claiming the win in the 12-strong field that day.
The five-year-old posted the best final 600m and 200m sectionals for the race while carrying 59kgs.
Stepping-up to BM78 competition here, he drops in weight and gets the gun-run from gate one as well.
Maloney sticks with him and with a clear run to the line, he will take a ton of beating in this contest.
Race 9: No.6 Pocket Full
The Stewart Kendrick-trained galloper is second-up here and looks ideally placed to give this event a real shake at odds.
Last start, the Rich Enuff gelding was fresh off a 31-week absence when he finished third in Open company over 1200m at Doomben.
After settling mid-field early, he battled on gamely in the run home with a lack of fitness being his biggest enemy that day.
He draws nicely here in gate two and maps to settle just behind the speed with Ron Stewart as the new pilot.
Already a winner when second-up and a two-time winner at the track, he shows some claims here and is well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
