Race 1: No.3 Spacetime Legend
The Joel Wilkes-trained galloper is in top-shelf form of late and looks a solid chance of bringing up the hat-trick in this event.
Last start the Dundeel gelding came off a win at Newcastle and franked that effort when he took out a BM74 Hcp over 2200m at Scone.
On a Heavy 8 that day, Grant Buckley settled him back in the field before making his move nearing the turn, then in the run home finished best to take the gold medal, crossing the line more than a length clear in the end.
Drawn well in gate two, he maps to settle in the back half of the field with Buckley steering the ship again.
Dropping down in grade today, he faces BM66 company and at his peak, a third-straight victory looks a distinct possibility in this contest.
Race 5: No.7 Bolo Miss
The Michael Lynch-trained galloper boasts an impeccable record to date and looks ideally placed here to go on with it in this event.
Last start, the D'argento mare found the podium for the tenth time in 11 starts when she beat all but one home in a Class 3 Hcp over 1000m at Warren.
Drawn wide in barrier eight, she settled mid-field but was trapped three-deep without cover to the turn before tracking even wider, then in the run home finished strongly, arriving in time to claim second prize, beaten a head on the line, one bound short of victory.
Mathew Cahill was aboard that day and has the reins again for this assignment where the mare draws much better in gate two and maps to be mid-field on settling.
Placed in similar company four starts back, the four-year-old is already a track & trip winner and looks set to give this contest a real shake.
Race 7: No.2 Irish Jig
In good touch after three starts back, the Scott Singleton-trained galloper has improved with each run and now looks ready to produce his best in this event.
Last start, the Star Turn gelding came within a whisker of victory when he beat all but one to the line in a Class 3 Hcp over 1200m at Tamworth.
Mikayla Weir settled him alongside the leader where he matched strides to the turn before taking over on straightening and looked home but grabbed by one better near the line, leaving him with the silver medal for the race.
Fitter for this three runs back, he drops sharply in grade here and faces BM58 competition today where he draws well in gate six and maps to be near the speed on settling with Izzy Neale as the new pilot.
At his peak today with an easier assignment to deal with, the four-year-old looks in the mix to claim victory in this contest.
Race 8: No.8 Jamacri
Michael Mulholland saddles-up Jamacri here who is in career-best form this preparation and looks set for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the Pride of Dubai mare was rewarded for her consistency when she scored her first win for this campaign by taking out a Class 1 Hcp over 1400m at Warren.
Jacob Stiff had her settled fourth one off the fence to the turn before coming off heels then in the run home, finished best to score by almost a length on the line.
Drawn wide today in gate ten, she maps to push forward, then cross and settle in the first half-dozen with Aaron Bullock aboard for the first time.
Placed at the track and distance two starts back, she should find this BM58 no harder and looks the testing material in this contest.
