Race 5: No.4 Victory Win
The Team Archibald-trained galloper is third-up here and looks well placed for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the Santos gelding added to his already impressive second-up record when he claimed victory in a BM90, here over 1600m with Ryan Maloney in the saddle.
He settled last of the eight runners before peeling wide on the turn and finishing best to claim the major prize in the race.
Ideally drawn in gate two here, he maps to do no early work and settle near mid-field on the fence with Maloney on board again.
Boasting track specialist status, with four wins at the track on his resume, a trouble-free run here should see him very hard to beat in this contest.
Race 9: No.1 Keitel
David Vandyke saddles-up Keitel here who is high-flying this time in and looks every chance of claiming his first Doomben victory in this event.
Last start, the Hellbent gelding came off a second-up win in a Class 5 when he stepped-up to BM90 competition and did well to finish third (behind Victory Win) beaten less than a length on the line.
Well drawn in gate three here, he maps to settle back in the field with cover and should enjoy a trail behind the early speed.
Jasper Franklin rode him to victory two starts back at the Sunshine Coast and returns to take the reins for this assignment.
In top-shelf form this campaign and down in grade, he looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
Race 10: No.5 Navyonthehighway
The Team Munce-trained galloper is a track specialist here and second-up, looks a genuine winning chance in this event.
Last start, the Merchant Navy mare resumed off a 15-week spell and did it in style by taking out a BM85, here over 1110m with Ben Osmond in the saddle.
From gate five, she settled near mid-field before finished best to claim victory by half a length over the line.
Drawn out in gate nine here, she maps to settle in the back half of the field with Damien Thornton as the new pilot.
Already a two-time winner when second-up and boasting four wins from six appearances at the track, the five-year-old looks the testing material in this contest.
