Race 6: No.8 Crook
The Clint Lundholm-trained galloper has been knocking on the door for a win this preparation and looks well placed here to break the shackles and collect the cast in this event.
Last start, the Harry Angel mare’s heartache continued when she recorded her sixth minor placing from seven starts this time in when she beat all but one home (again) in Open company at Coonamble.
Zoe Hunt had her settled mid-field on the fence to the turn, then held-up most of the way home, she finally saw daylight and did well to grab second prize on the line.
They had to run a cracking 1:08 over the 1200m to beat her that day.
Meeting similar company here, she jumps from gate seven and maps to settle near mid-field with Hunt retaining the ride for this assignment.

The Rod Northam-trained galloper is second-up today and has the runs on the board to suggest he can take home the Cup in this event.
Last start, the Stratum Star gelding resumed from a 17-week spell and did it in styler when he took out a Class 3 Hcp over 1500m against city-class opposition at Rosehill.
Against all odds, he jumped from gate 11 (of 13) and settled mid-field, trapped wide to the turn before tracking even wider, then in the run home, kept finding plenty and ridden out by Reece Jones, simply finished too strong for them.
Down in weight here, he draws ideally in gate two and maps to settle just behind the speed with regular rider Reece Jones sticking with him today.
Already a winner when second-up and placed ideally here, he looks the testing material in this contest.
Race 8: No.4 Comongin
Brett Robb saddles-up Comongin here who is second-up after almost a year off the scene and ticks enough boxes to suggest he can take home the spoils in this event.
Last start, the Showtime gelding had his first race in 47 weeks when he finished fourth in a BM82 over 1000m at Tamworth.
Drawing the outside gate (8), Clay Gallagher settled his last of the eight runners to the turn, then in the run home, although never a winning chance, he still hit the line strongly and past half them to finish just behind the placegetters that day.
From a better draw today, he jumps from gate five and maps to settle mid-field with Gallagher in the saddle again.
Already a winner when second-up and placed at his only previous start here, the four-year-old can get the job done in this contest.
