Sha Tin racing takes place on Sunday, 8 November with an 11-race program set down for the Sha Tin racetrack.

We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for  Sha Tin racetrack.

Race 6: No.12  Mighty Fighter

The Ricky Yiu-trained galloper is two starts into his current preparation and looks well placed here to score his first win in this event.

Last start, the Street Boss gelding showed plenty of improvement when he finished third in a Class 4 Hcp, here over 1400m.

After missing the jump by a length, he quickly recovered and settled mid-field on the fence to the turn, then sticking to the inside, he was held-up most of the way home, only getting clear over the final 100m where he hit the line strongly and arrived in time to claim the minor prize.

Today he gets the gun-run from gate one and maps to settle better than mid-field on the fence with Richard Kingscote retaining the ride.

Even fitter for those two runs back, the four-year-old should enjoy a nice run behind the speed and be there at the finish to challenge for the major prize in this contest.

Race 9: No.6  Superb Spirit

Second-up today, the Francis Lui-trained galloper ticks enough boxes here to suggest he will take beating in this event.

Last start, the Zousain gelding resumed from the season break and caught the eye when finishing a close-up third in a Class 3 Hcp, here over 1400m.

Zac Purton settled him mid-field one off the rail to the turn, then eased him off heels but he was still held-up to the 200m mark, then squeezing between runners arrived in time to claim third prize in a blanket finish.

Meeting similar company here, he draws well in gate six and maps to settle mid-field or better today with Vince Ho as the new pilot.

Already a winner when second-up and boasting track specialist status here, he looks right up to the challenge in this contest.

Race 10: No.4  Majestic Valour

Ticking all the relevant boxes here, the Danny Shum-trained galloper is second-up and looks set to go one better in this event.

Last start, the Toronado gelding resumed off the season break and impressed when he beat all but one home in a Class 3 Hcp, here over 1200m.

From gate nine (of 14), Zac Purton settled him three pairs back to the turn, then tracking wide he was held-up briefly but then hit top gear and stormed home to grab the silver medal, with just a lack of race fitness robbing him of victory that day.

Ideally drawn in gate two today, he maps to be parked right behind the speed with Purton in the saddle again.

Fitter for that one run back and already a two-time winner at the track and distance, the five-year-old looks perfectly placed to give this contest a real shake.

Race 11: No.4  Hot Delight

One run back this preparation, the Francis Lui-trained galloper has a real liking for the Sha Tin track and looks set to strike in this event.

Last start, the Too Darn Hot gelding resumed after four months off the scene and impressed when he beat all but one home in a Class 2 Hcp, here over 1400m.

From gate nine (of 12), Vince Ho settled him fifth but trapped three-deep without cover to the turn before scouting even wider, then in the run home, he still had plenty to offer and eventually found the front but was grabbed on the post by the topweight, leaving him with second prize in the end.

Meeting similar company here, he jumps from barrier eight and maps to cross and settle better than mid-field and after riding him to all four career wins to date, Vince Ho will steer the ship again for this assignment.

Four wins from his six starts at the track makes him a track specialist and already a winner when second-up, he drops in weight and looks the testing material in this contest.
