We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Seymour racetrack.
Race 1 No. 4- Emmcee
This might be the one for Emmcee to chalk up the first win of his career. The Team Hayes galloper was an improver at his second start when leading at Geelong over the 1525m before just tiring late when 3rd behind Fontaine Rouge. The son of Microphone has gone at a solid tempo in his two career starts and will be fitter, while this does not look to be a strong maiden. Third up and with Blake Shinn in the saddle, he can deliver.
Race 4 No. 7- Nebuchadnezzar
Nebuchadnezzar gets another chance in Race 4. The Mitchell Freedman-trained galloper has placed in five of six career starts and was well-backed at Moe last time when just going down late behind Gee Kristie. He was unlucky at Werribee prior to that when runner-up, putting a gap on the rest. The former Kiwi went 0.6 lengths faster than standard benchmark at Moe, which is a better figure than what any runner in this race has produced. He should be at his peak third up and should be within striking distance in the early to middle stages with John Allen to ride.
Race 8 No. 8- Le Mans
Willing to have something on Le Mans in the final race of the day. The Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr has been supported in the market in preparation for her return and was solid in harder company at her first preparation in Australia without winning. She produced an eye-catcher at her first run at Caulfield back in August when 3rd behind Lovazou then finished close in two subsequent runs before tapering off. She has had a trial in preparation for what is her easiest run since coming over from the UK. Ethan Brown rides and will settle back. Expect the pair to be strong late in the piece.
