Mornington Racing Tips for October 22 – Party to benefit in Race 2

Here are our best bets from the meeting, which also feature in our daily selections.

Party Benefits is worth consideration in Race 2. The five-year-old resumes and was a first-up winner at the track and trip last campaign before performing well without winning in some strong form races. The locally trained galloper comes in with a series of trials under her belt, and this looks to be a race well within her reach. She draws the outside gate in the small field and can cross over to settle handy with Daniel Stackhouse on board.

Going with another first-up runner at Mornington, with She Won’t Fold looking a sneaky player at nice odds in Race 7. The locally trained galloper has had two career starts, winning on debut over 1200m at her home track before tackling a Benchmark 64 at Sandown on a Heavy surface, where she faded late to finish last in the small field. She was involved in a suicidal tempo that day and the performance can be forgiven. The daughter of Dirty Work comes in with some strong trial form and is poised to enjoy the box seat from barrier two.
