Moe racing takes place on Sunday, December 14, with an eight-race program set down for Moe racetrack.

Race 2 No.11- Kippis
Race 3 No.12- Taupe
Race 7 No.7- Faithinher

We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Moe racetrack.

Race 2 No.11- Kippis

There are plenty of unknowns in this race with a stack of first starters but I am willing to have something on Kippis. The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper has the benefit of race experience on her side and was supported late in the betting at Moe over the 1100m but missed out as the exacta horse behind Freshen. She settled handy but couldn't reel in the winner on a day that played into the hands of those that led. The daughter of Exceed And Excel produced the fastest last 400m and the second fastest of the entire meeting, while she had three lengths on the rest of them. She draws wide but will benefit from the tempo in this race and is every chance to go one better.

Race 3 No.12- Taupe

Taupe has been edging closer in her two career starts and can break through in Race 3. The filly in the Godolphin colours trialled well before her debut at Geelong, which came on a Heavy track and saw her lead before just fading late for 4th behind Nostra Bella. She was then tried at Kilmore and led again before going down in the last few strides behind Arabella Star, going six lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is nearly six lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. This is a weak Maiden and she should be at her peak after two runs, while she has the early speed to cross over from the wide barrier. Dan Stackhouse rides and strikes at 25% for the stable, providing a 16% profit on turnover.

Race 7 No.7- Faithinher

Faithinher is a sneaky player in Race 9. The five-year-old resumed at Ballarat over the 1000m on November 20 and didn't have things go her way. She was checked at the start and lost ground and settled back on a very slow tempo before producing the fastest split from the 600m to the 400m. But the race shape was against her at the business end and she ended in 6th position. The Hayes galloper comes into this second up and will strip fitter, while the tempo looks much better here. She has had one visit to Moe for a BenchMark 58 win over the 1100m last April in a race that produced seven winners. The $9 on offer looks to be great value.
