Flemington racing takes place on Saturday, March 2, with the 10-race program on Australian Guineas Day.
We have the best bets picked out from across day with value selections for Flemington Racecourse including for the feature Australian Guineas.
Race 3: No. 6 Big Watch
Mike Moroney saddles up this four-year-old gelding in the third event with Jamie Mott steering.
The son of Shamus Award has placed in nine of 13 starts and comes in off the back of a good win down the straight here at Flemington beating home the smart Ouroboros.
Weight weighted and progressive enough to win this.
Race 6: No. 6 Another Will
There may not be a more exciting prospect coming through the grades at the moment than this Ciaron Maher trained gelding.
The lightly raced four-year-old three times from five starts including two of the easiest victories you’ll see so far this prep.
He does step up sharply in grade now but he looks a black type horse to my eye and can win again.
Race 7: No. 3 Ouroboros
Just the one win to his name but is yet to miss a place from six career starts.
Was beaten a narrow margin at Caulfield to close out his spring campaign when he split Cylinder and I Am Unstoppable over 1100m.
Was only run over very late when resuming and will take benefit out of that run.
Race 9: No. 2 Atishu
Couldn’t reel in the tear away leader Pride Of Jenni in the Empire Rose in the spring but then came out and beat the boys in the McKinnon by almost two lengths.
The daughter of Savabeel is a two-time Group 1 winner who will improve off her disappointing first up run at Caulfield.
Loves racing here at headquarters.
