With just five others in the race, he can settle just off the speed and show his class late.

Had to do a fair amount of work early when making his racing debut at Bendigo but showed he has a fair amount of ability by kicking clear to win by almost four lengths.
He showed a quick turn of foot when asked and I loved the way he put them away in just a few strides, easing down on the line.
Beau Mertens can take him straight to the front and he’ll appreciate the step up in distance for this event.

Race 7 (9:15pm) - No. 7 Imperatriz
An absolutely arrogant win first up in the Group 2 McEwen Stakes at this track and distance when storming home over the top of some quality sprinters.
It’s not the first time she’s done it either, winning the Group 1 Moir Stakes here at The Valley during the autumn carnival.
She’ll take benefit out of that run and she may just prove she is the best sprinter in the entire country on Friday night.
