Ipswich racing takes place on Friday, July 19, with the eight-race program set for the meeting.

We have the best bets picked out from across day with value selections for Ipswich Racecourse.

Race 5: No. 1 Diaco

Won a benchmark 65 by 2.3 lengths at Doomben back in February over 1640m proving he is more than capable in a race of this quality at Ipswich.

He wasn’t beaten far first up at Toowoomba and made steady ground in the Beaudesert Cup last time out without threatening to win.

The four-year-old will be close to peaking now at his third run this prep and he has produced his best efforts on a good track.

Race 6: No. 2 Chayse’n’scotty

Couldn’t have been any more impressive when scoring by over four lengths on debut at Gatton over 1100m on a firm surface.

Clearly didn’t handle the heavy track two weeks ago here at Ipswich when tailing out to finish near last and he’ll appreciate being back on top of the ground for this contest.

He has a tricky barrier to overcome but his class will take him a long way.

Race 7: No. 4 Malarina

Talented filly who has proven a consistent performer over her short eight-start career so far.

The Annabel Neasham trained filly has just one win to her name but is yet to miss a place including all three starts so far this campaign.

She failed to win as favourite at Doomben last time out but there was plenty to like about the performance and she will appreciate the step back in grade.

Race 8: No. 1 Crazy Brave

Another Anabel Neasham trained horse that heads west this afternoon and another lightly raced horse with plenty of upside.

This son of Zoustar has been competitive in town in the past and he was beaten just 1.8 lengths at the Sunshine Coast first up from a spell before running into heavy track second up where he over raced throughout the run.
