Moonee Valley racing takes place on Saturday, October 28 with the Cox Plate headlining a huge day of Spring Carnival action.

Race 3: No. 2 Wishlor Lass
Heads into this Group 3 event having won five of her seven starts so far.
A lightly raced five-year-old mare who showed her toughness when challenged by Barbie’s Fox at Caulfield last start to fight and win by a narrow margin.
This is her first look at The Valley but Damien Lane can settle her on the pace from a good draw and there doesn’t look to be a whole heap of depth in the race.
Race 5: No. 4 Antino
The Tony Gollan trained Antino knows how to win having been first past the post in nine of his 12 career race starts.
He was beaten by the barest of margins in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap at Caulfield two weeks ago and Blake Shinn retains the ride here.
Can settle just in behind the speed from barrier four and pounce late.
Race 7: No. 2 Air Assault
Was only plain in his first two starts this prep but proved he has a fair amount of natural ability when scoring by over three lengths at listed level last start in Adelaide.
He’s out of a Zabeel mare so the step up in distance should suit and Damien Lane can take him straight to the front from the wide barrier.
Race 10: No. 2 Maharba
Secured the second win of his six-start career at this track and distance last start beating home Brave Mead who is a subsequent winner.
The Graham Begg trained gelding ticks a lot of boxes and there looks to be a heap of speed in the race which will suit him perfectly.
