This shapes as a classic and a possible Cox Plate preview with Mr Brightside and Pride Of Jenni going at it. Going with the mare to turn the tables on Mr Brightside after going down to him in the recent Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m) at Flemington. The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper was relatively poor when first up in the Memsie Stakes but just about looked back to her best at Flemington. She should be getting closer to her peak now and holds a 4-3 advantage over Mr Brightside in the times they have met. When third up or deeper, she is 3-0. Expect the front runner to get the job done in what should be another classic. 

Moonee Valley Race 5 No. 4- Geegees Mistruth


The Tasmanian filly, Geegees Mistruth, can get the job done in the Scarborough Stakes. She won her first four starts in the apple isle before heading to the paddock and resuming with a solid performance at her first go on the mainland, finishing runner-up behind Drifting at Group 3 level in the Quezette Stakes (1100m) at Caulfield last month. She did all the chasing behind the leader and produced the fastest last 400m. She will strip fitter for this and draws perfectly in barrier 4. 

Moonee Valley Race 6 No. 3- Dawn Service


Keen on Dawn Service in the Stutt Stakes. The Waterhouse/Bott galloper impressed with a Maiden win at Hawkesbury three starts ago then was runner-up behind Autumn Glow at Rosehill before heading to Flemington and tackling the 1400m, leading all the way to defeat Comanche Miss. The son of Justify and the former gun mare, Sunlight, ran quick time to produce a personal best by going nine lenghts faster than standard benchmark. No huge concerns about the step up to the 1600m and he has the racing style that should be suited at Moonee Valley.
