Kick started her racing career with a dominant 3.5 length win at Murwillumbah on a heavy 10 in May and was then placed at Randwick to close out her debut campaign.
There has been a solid amount of rainfall in Brisbane this week and this filly has proven she can handle it which is a big benefit considering the inexperienced field.
Race 4: No. 6 Appin Girl
This is a lightly raced and progressive four-year-old mare who has managed two wins and two placings from five starts so far in her short career.
She was last seen finishing third at Group 3 level this time last year and although she’s never been on a track that wasn’t good, she is the best horse in this field on exposed form.
Race 5: No. 4 Tectonic Plate
This mare is putting together an impressive racing resume which consists of seven wins from 16 starts including putting together three wins in a row this prep.
One of those wins was in a benchmark 82 at Ballina on a heavy 8 by 1.5 lengths and she’s drawn to get a lovely run in transit from barrier two in this event.
Race 8: No. 3 Nikau Spur
It has been a while in between wins for this eight-year-old but he made up plenty of ground late to just miss in the Toowoomba Cup last start.
He’s placed three times from five starts on a heavy surface should the track not be upgraded before Saturday and will be ready to peak at his fourth run this campaign.
