Thousand Guineas Day racing takes place on Saturday, November 18, with the Caulfield program featuring two Group 1s.

Race 4: No. 2 Saltaire
Beaten by the barest of margins when resuming at Listed level at The Valley over 1200m.
Ran into a good one in the form of Mumbai Muse in the Group 3 Red Roses down the straight at headquarters but lost few admirers.
She’s a filly with plenty of upside and on exposed form, she looks to have these covered.
Race 5: No. 5 Barber
Has been racing well this prep against his own age without winning.
Was sent out favourite down the Flemington straight last start and while he failed to win, the run was full of merit.
This is another step up in grade against the older horses but he is a colt with plenty of natural speed and can get the job done.
Race 7: No. 3 Skybird
Undefeated daughter of Exosphere who gets better every time she heads to the race track.
Overcome plenty of obstacles to rocket home in the Group 2 Fillies Classic at The Valley showing her sharp turn of foot late.
Drawn to get a better run in transit and watch for her late!
Race 9: No. 5 Maktoob
Was beaten just over two lengths by the very smart Muramasa at Flemington three back and that form looks pretty good now since that horse romped home last weekend.
Has since gone on to win two in a row including the Listed Sale Cup in impressive fashion and will be nearing peak fitness now at his fifth start this campaign.
Drawn well and is the horse to beat.
