Race 3: No.8 Honey Perfume
The Matt Smith-trained galloper is in top-shelf form and is well placed here to go on with it in this event.
Last start, the Toronado filly made it seven-straight podium finishes when she claimed third prize in a Class 1 Hcp over 1100m at Gosford.
Caught wide all the way, she did well to finish less than two lengths from the winner with Zac Lloyd in the saddle.
Ash Morgan takes the reins here and from gate two, the filly maps to settle better than mid-field with cover.
A trouble-free run here should see the three-year-old there at the finish.
Race 6: No.2 Nanna’s Wish
Ciaron Maher saddles-up Nana’s Wish here who is three starts back and looks well placed here for back-to-back success in this event.
Last start, the Belardo mare proved too good for them in a BM72 over 1550m at Canterbury.
Anna Roper settled her second in the race before she finished stronger than the rest and beat home the 11-strong field.
The five-year-old draws wide in gate 10 here but with her early gate speed, maps to settle in the first-half dozen.
Roper sticks with her today and at her peak fourth-up, looks a genuine winning chance and well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
Race 7: Sister Daae
The Chris Waller-trained galloper is second-up today and looks ideally placed for back-to-back victories in this event.
Last start, the Zoustar filly resumed after six months off the scene and made an instant impression when breaking through for her Maiden win over 1400m on Randwick’s Kensington track.
Drawn the outside gate, Jason Collett settled her back in the field, three-wide without cover before finding plenty in the run home, arriving in time to grab the gold medal in the race.
Taking on BM64 company here, she steps-up to the mile trip today and gets the gun-run from gate one with Tim Clark as the new pilot.
The three-year-old maps to settle near mid-field with cover and with a clear run to the line, she can finish ahead of them in this contest.
