We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Warwick Farm racetrack.
Race 3 – No.5 Winchester
The Team Hawkes-trained Winchester is second-up today and looks well placed to give this event a real shake.
Last start, the Deep Field gelding was fresh off a 22-week break when he finished third in a BM72 over 1100m at Rosehill.
Trying to lead all the way, he set a good pace but his condition gave out inside the final 200m and had to settle for the minor prize in the end.
Drawn the fence today, he maps to lead them again with Tyler Schiller booked for the ride.
Fitter for that first-up run, he meets similar company here and left alone to dictate the speed again, he should prove hard to run down in this contest.
Race 4: No.10 Altercation
Jason Deamer saddles-up Altercation here who is in good touch this time in and third-up today looks a serious player at odds in this event.
Last start, the American Pharoah mare finished third in a BM64 over 1100m on the Kensington track at Randwick.
Zac Wadick was aboard for her past two starts and steers the ship again in this assignment.
The four-year-old draws well in gate six where she maps to settle better than mid-field with cover.
Up in grade today but dropping in weight, already a winner when third-up, she has claims for victory here and is well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
Race 6: No.5 It’s A Knockout
The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper resumes after 22 weeks off the scene and on fresh legs, looks a strong chance of victory in this event.
Last start, the well-bred Dundeel mare ended her first campaign with a second win when she took out a BM78 over 1500m at Rosehill.
Tim Clark had her leading the way on settling and in the run home, she showed superiority by increasing her lead and crossing the line 1.5 lengths ahead of them.
The four-year-old jumps from barrier eight today but with her early gate speed, maps to be leading them again.
Clark retains the ride and already a winner first-up, looks the one to beat in this contest.
