Taree racing takes place on Monday, June 30 with an 8-race program set down for Taree racetrack.

Race 4: No.9 Bellini Spritz
Race 6: No.4 Down The Kooka
Race 8: No.4 Helluva Teen

The Scone-based galloper has impressed with two starts back and only has to overcome a wide draw here to figure in the finish again in this event.

Last start, the Dundeel filly showed improvement when she beat all but one home in a BM58 over 1450m at Muswellbrook.

With Aaron Bullock aboard, she settled mid-field before making ground on the turn and finished off strongly to arrive in time for second prize in the race.

Ash Morgan returns for his third ride on the filly and from gate 12, maps to settle her near mid-field with cover.

Yet to miss a podium finish in four career starts to date, if she can keep in touch with them here, a clear run to the line should see her hard to hold out in this contest.

Race 6: No.4 Down The Kooka

The Todd Howlett-trained galloper has found his mojo now and looks well placed here to go on with it in this event.

Last start, the Star Turn gelding finally broke through for his first win when he claimed victory in a 1450m Maiden Hcp at Muswellbrook.

Aaron Bullock settled him second in the race before taking charge in the run home and holding on to score.

The three-year-old draws gate 9 (of 14) here with new pilot Jean Van Overmeire steering the ship for the first time.

At his peak, fourth-up today, a trouble-free run can see him give this contest a real shake at generous each-way odds.

Race 8: No.4 Helluva Teen

Neil Osborne saddles-up Helluva Teen here who is third-up and back against country class gallopers, looks well placed to take this event out.

Two starts back, the Hellbent filly impressed by finishing second in Class 3 company at Goulburn before taking on city class competition on Randwick’s Kensington track where she finished last of eight in a BM64 over 1000m.

Ideally drawn in gate three here, she will find this BM66 a lot easier today with Glenn Cahill retaining the ride who brings a 2kg claim with him to the event.

Two of her three career wins have come on dry tracks so conditions here will suit perfectly with a Good 4 forecast for the day.

The three-year-old maps to settle near the speed from the good gate and fitter for two runs back, she looks the testing material in this contest.
