Race 7 No. 2- Regal Tycoon
Regal Tycoon is a clear top pick in Race 7. The three-year-old is yet to finish out of the placings in seven career starts, winning when resuming at Pakenham three starts ago. She stepped out in a BenchMark 58 at Yarra Glen on March 31 over the 1209m and couldnt reel in the winner, chasing gamely and putting a decent gap on the 3rd placegetter. The daughter of Written Tycoon went 0.8 lenghts faster than standard benchmark, which is nearly seven lengths better than the next best last start figure of any runner. Step to the 1400m shouldnt be an issue and she should be able to find a nice spot in the run early on from barrier 7.
Race 8 No.2- Half Yours
Half Yours can end the day a winner. The four-year-old shows a stack of promise and resumed with an eye-catching effort over the 1400m on March 19, closing off with the fastest last 200m to miss in a close one behind Tumbling. Step up to the 1600m looks ideal and at this stage of his last preparation he improved five lengths on benchmark figures to claim a BenchMark 64 by six lengths at Cranbourne. He then pulled up with issues when missing at Sandown at favourite. But the son of St Jean looks to have come back in good order and might be destined for harder racing than this.
