Race 1 12:30pm AEST – TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY Tips

Pondus is knocking on the door after posting consecutive placings, and he has better form lines than Tooradin. The Robert Hickmott-trained gelding ran second at Bendigo and second at Flemington before returning to Europe and running second in consecutive starts. He is a smart type that should be tough to handle.

Tooradin has been in winning form, so we wouldn’t overlook his chances. His odds are drifting, which is the only concern.

Race 2 1:05pm AEST – EXFORD PLATE Tips

Artorius should have won last start and punters have climbed into this odds on Saturday. The three-year-old flashed home to finish second at Caulfield and he had no right to even get that close. He is a classy type who should enjoy the long straight at Flemington.

Lightsaber and Hilal are getting back to peak fitness, so ruling them out would be a mistake. Punters get value with those runners at each-way odds.

Race 9 5:35pm AEST – VERY SPECIAL KIDS Tips

Punters get value with Skyman, who didn’t have all favours in the run when finishing second behind Viral by a nose. He is a five-time winner and two-time winner at the distance, so the statistics read well, and he typically improves with a run under his belt.

In-form rider Damien Thornton is in the saddle, so take the value odds before they shorten.

Kembla Grange

Race 2 12:15pm AEST – DYSON BM78 Tips

Mankayan settled miles too far back last start and ran out of time. The imported runner was given a patient ride, which isn’t ideal at Kembla Grange. Hugh Bowman will need to get on his bike much sooner this Saturday, but we’ll give him another chance.

There hasn’t been any trepidation in the market. He opened at $2.60 and has been confidently backed.

We’re going with the Kiwi runner Entriviere. The five-year-old owns five wins and two placings from seven starts, so she doesn’t know how to run a bad race. The daughter of Tavistock is a high-class type who could contest Group 1 level racing in the spring, so she’s worth backing.

Written Beauty was a good thing beaten last start, so we’re prepared to give her another chance. She has been hammered in betting, which adds confidence.

Race 3 12:58pm AEST – SKY RACING BM90 Tips

Winning form is with London Banker, who is shooting for four wins on the bounce. The six-year-old reeled them in easily last start and there doesn’t appear to be any slowing him down. It’s impressive form and we’re not surprised by the $2 available with bookmakers.

Stardome and He Runs Away have been best-backed to beat the favourite. They are likely quinella hopes.

Race 4 1:33pm AEST – TAB QUALITY Tips

We’re not sure what went wrong with Prince of Boom last start, but we’re expecting a much better run this time in. He looked dynamic when winning his first two starts before running 12th in a tough race at Eagle Farm. He might have needed the run to recover, so we’re giving him another chance.

$2.60 is a fair price given his ability, so it’s worth locking in.

Race 3 13:52pm AEST – MARK NALEY TRIBUTE BM64 Tips

Miss Daniel was a touch unlucky not to win at Morphettville last start, so we’re sticking with the three-year-old filly. She won on debut at Balaklava before finishing under a half-length behind Knightstown, and she’s capable of turning the tables.

The inside draw is ideal and punters should be confident.

Race 8 5:05pm AEST – TAB SUPPORTS THE NJT BM78 Tips

It’s an open field, but we’re going with Lombardo. The five-year-old gelding is a three-time winner and that form stacks up nicely in South Australia. He was only 1.5 lengths behind Zorro’s Dream two back, so we’re confident he’s a winning chance in this company.

Great Diviner is also well-backed to win, so he shouldn’t be left out.

Race 3 3:59pm AEST – AMELIA PARK BM72 Tips

This’ll Testya showed excellent form to start her career, and despite not winning last campaign, she still has plenty of upside. The daughter of Testa Rossa owns two fresh-up wins from three starts, and she has winning form at Belmont.

It’s a tricky and small field, but she goes on top.
