Saturday racing tips this week come from Belmont, Doomben, Flemington, Murray Bridge and Randwick.

The Blackbook tipsters have the best bets picked out for August 6 racing around the country.

JOCKEY EXTRAS: Get $2.25 for Chris Parnham to ride 2+ Winners

Belmont Best Bet - Race 2 No. 1 Etomorp

Tipped out last autumn after a second to city winner Olden, he would've won first-up if drawn kinder, a race taken out by a handy Positive Impact. Although he's no spoil at the odds coming from a provincial maiden win second-up, he looks clearly the most progressive runner here.

Belmont Next Best Bet - Race 9 No. 2 Kohli

With three runs under his belt, including a solid 1400m attempt at Northam last Thursday, Kohli should be close to a peak performance. Although that July 28 event was a provincial Class 3, that winner (Oly's Choice) is very progressive and he would easily head this market. Maps well.

Belmont Favourite - Race 3 No. 2 She's A Sweet Deel

It was a nice return by She's A Sweat Deel and while there's another 3kg to carry this Saturday, this is a much easier assignment at Class 3 level. This daughter of Dundeel is unbeaten second-up and also 2/2 on heavy tracks, so does tick plenty of boxes in what is quite a thin race overall.

Belmont Value Bet - Race 8 No. 8 Regal Magic

Regal Magic is flying, winning second-up and then had zero luck via a very chequered path third-up, where she was enormous considering. It wasn't the greatest ride in that attempt and with smart 2kg claimer Holly Watson back aboard, they'll look to have the last shot at the fav.

Belmont Roughie - Race 7 No. 9 To Rise Again

Always takes a few runs to hit his straps and after looming briefly before peaking on his July 9 effort, he'll only strip fitter. He doesn't exactly win out of turn, but has been in the money via half of his 26 attempts over this trip and his peak figures stacks up nicely. Can run a race third-up.

Doomben Best Bet - Race 3 No. 8 Self Indulgent

With the new season upon us and fillies just maturing into mares, she will tackle an all mares race first-up after a couple of easy trials as a lead in. Now a four-year-old, Self Indulgent should be a sharp improver as she has only raced six times, with two wins and looks the one on the up.

Doomben Next Best Bet - Race 5 No. 3 Don't Stop

Has had zero luck in three of four runs this prep. Did a power of work early on July 9 before tiring late and kept surging on July 23 despite racing three-wide the trip, a race he would've won with a kinder draw. Gets to the mile hard fit and now has barrier one, so will get his chance this week.

Doomben Favourite - Race 4 No. 1 Proper Rogue

He beat home one of his fancied rivals here in Miracle Day last start quite comfortably, so goes on top again in a race that doesn't appear any harder. The run prior he was no match for Delyth, who is an up-and-coming sprinter. Angela Jones claims 3kg and she will be pushing on from out wide.

Doomben Value Bet - Race 8 No. 10 Boomtown Lass

Sticking with Boomtown Lass, who wasn't quite ready when we were on her second-up, finishing only 2.35 lengths behind Tokoriki Lad. Doomben has been a happy hunting ground for the daughter of Spirit Of Boom, recording four wins and two seconds from 10 starts on this circuit.

Doomben Roughie - Race 9 No. 15 Capri Of Tuffy

She's been a good pick-up for Rob Heathcote, recording three wins and three top four finishes from seven attempts for the new yard. Covered ground second-up, which was her worst run for Heathcote, but stuck on third-up. At peak fitness and is now suited back on firmer ground.

PRICE PUSH SPECIAL: Get $4.40 for Craig Williams to ride 2+ Winners

Flemington Best Bet - Race 1 No. 4 Berkeley Square

Was an impressive first-up winner and backed that up with a big finishing second placing behind Boogie Dancer at Caulfield. He may be in need of further,  getting to the bigger expanses of Flemington suits, where he will have plenty of striding room. With even luck, he'll be very hard to beat.

Flemington Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 2 Blue Chip

This Maher & Eustace import was terrific two back via his Australian debut, then worked hard last start in a strong race at Flemington. Will be better from those two outings and now with Jamie Kah in the saddle, along with facing inferior opposition, he gets every chance to breakthrough here.

Flemington Feature Bet - Race 5 No. 2 Stageman

Is the class runner of the race, having run second in the Winterbottom two starts back (although against WA opposition). He did beat home Elite Street, who is a star. so that shows he is quality when right. This isn't the race that he will be set to peak for, but the best horse often wins this.

Flemington Value Bet - Race 6 No. 9 Somerset Maugham

Staying at 1600m and with no second-up form, he was enormous in Adelaide, sustaining a wide run off a muddling tempo to be beaten half a length, whereas the first two both had far softer runs. The subsequent Caulfield run was sound, although he's better suited at Flemington.

Flemington Roughie - Race 9 No. 1 Pas Malotru

Interesting runner is this dual-stakes winning European, who comes via a sole Hong Kong run in 2020. We're seeing a lot of these Hayes runners produce fresh and his lead-up work has been excellent, with a slick trial win followed by a good jump out here. Has ability and this isn't strong.

TRAINER MARKETS: Get $2.60 for Maher & Eustace to train 2+ Winners

Flemington Selections:

Race 1: 4,7,9,1. Race 2: 3,10,6,2. Race 3: 13,1,6,14. Race 4: 2,10,3,15. Race 5: 2,3,4,7. Race 6: 9,4,6,2. Race 7: 4,5,6,1. Race 8: 4,1,6,7. Race 9: 1,10,2,7.

Murray Bridge

Murray Bridge Best Bet - Race 5 No. 2 Reckoning

Will be at peak fitness, with four runs back from a long spell and his recent Melbourne form reads very well for this. On soft tracks over this trip, he was beat Taksu last year and any resemblance of that touch would see him win this comfortably. Doesn't want the track into the heavy range.

Murray Bridge Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 8 Alpine Flyer

After landing good bets fresh over what seemed too short a trip, we were with Alpine Flyer second-up at Gawler, where she duly saluted. The market was against her in that last outing, but once again she threaded a passage under Barend Vorster and pounced in style. Classy and on the up.

Murray Bridge Favourite - Race 8 No. 13 My Khalifa

Todd Pannell had a great day on July 23 and was trying to save My Khalifa for one last dash, with this galloper absolutely bolting at the 200m. Unfortunately, was held-up behind the winner and Headphones, who shifted in and he definitely wins if that gap presents. Is due for some luck.

Murray Bridge Value Bet - Race 6 No. 6 Take Me North

Should've finished closer in his Murray Bridge resumption, as he was inconvenienced at a key stage and improved off that to run third over the mile on July 16, where he was never in winning contention, but boxed-on well late. The 1800m is ideal third-up and this is a decent drop in grade.

Murray Bridge Roughie - Race 9 No. 12 Samesyn

If going of her effort two back, where she was the pick of the chasers behind an impressive Legless Lady, Samesyn would be a $6-$7 chance. Landed on speed and quickly tired last start, hence the big odds, but given she let down well with a cold ride two back, they may change their tactics.

Randwick Best Bet - Race 7 No. 12 Alcyone

While he had it run to suit fresh, his win was still arrogant, with 60.5kg first-up on a heavy track. Drops a whopping 9.5kg and this isn't a shot at the stumps from Godolphin, with this gelding having strong prior form, including a runner-up to Mr Brightside second-up last prep.

Randwick Next Best Bet - Race 10 No. 11 Sunrise Ruby

She let down with a powerful finish first-up and at 36.04, rattled off easily the fastest last 600m of that July 9 contest, where she was easily the least suited of those runners that were in the finish. Barrier 10 is perfect as she'll camp off them and attack the middle/wider lanes late.

Randwick Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 1 Count De Rupee

Was aggressively placed earlier this year, going into a Newmarket and then the TJ Smith Stakes. Bounced back in Brisbane and will have residual fitness, having raced in May. If it's around a Soft 6, he'll be more suited than Forbidden Love, who he trialled a little stronger than on July 26.

Randwick Value Bet - Race 5 No. 2 Equation

After a terrific three-year-old season, he wasn't the same galloper last spring and is now gelded as a result. Hasn't been knocked around in his last two trials and the 1300m is close to his right trip. All of his wins have come on soft tracks and at BM78 level first-up, he's certainly classy enough.

Randwick Roughie - Race 9 No. 10 Fiordland

Although he was ultimately outclassed third-up behind Alcyone, he picked up again after initially being flat and off the bridle when chasing a good speed, so the mile should be ideal now. His second-up win was strong, when sustaining a long run and should be suited by a softer tempo here.
