Race 4 No.3- Dream All Day
Dream All Day can be an improver in Race 4. The Price/Kent Jnr galloper resumed at Flemington over the 1400m on June 7 and had a few things go against when placing 9th behind Fire Of Etna. The four-year-old settled back on a slow tempo and was caught in traffic when the sprint went on, working home in ok fashion to go down by three lenghts. That was the first time she finished out of the top three in her eight-start career. She will be better suited over the 1600m and was a winner at her last preparation when stepping up to the trip.
Race 5 No.2- Moonhaven
Moonhaven might be worth something at the each-way quote in Race 5. The four-year-old has been racing over shorter trips at his last few starts and didnt quite go oevr the 1100m when first up at Flemington before working home well in a BenchMark 84 over the 1000m at Sandwon on June 14. He was last of the 14 runners at the 400m and produced the fastest 400m-200m split before the lack of early tempo counted against at the business end. This is easier and he does have some form over the distance from his younger days. The son of Shalaa will get back from the draw but a few go forward here and the race should set up nicely, while the 3kg claim for Dakotah Keane is a bonus.
Race 8 No 5- Kahnof
Kahnof can end the day a winner. The four-year-old has attracted a stack of support since the market opened and has been in solid touch at his past couple of starts, scoring over the 1400m here two starts ago before being out-kicked late in the piece when 3rd behind Cafe Milennium over the 1420m at Flemington in a BenchMark 84 on June 21. The son of Pierro looks ready for the 1600m and produced solid figures in his recent run to go eight lengths faster than standard benchmark. He has performed well at the same stage in recent preparations and draws to get the perfect run from barrier 4.
