Race 3: No.1 Enforceable
The Bevan Laming-trained Enforceable is third-up today and now looks ready to score I this event.
Last start, the Star Turn colt had just his second race start when he beat all but one home in a Maiden Hcp over 1200m at the Sunshine Coast.
Kyle Wilson-Taylor had him leading on settling and ran home full of beans but was nabbed late by a swooper, leaving him with second prize in the race.
Ideally drawn in gate four here, he maps to near the speed again with visiting Sydney rider Nash Rawiller as the new pilot.
Fitter for two runs to date, he looks the testing material in this contest.
Race 4: No.4 Lone Artist
Visiting Sunshine Coast galloper Lone Artist is third-up here and facing QLD country gallopers for the first time, looks well placed to take home the winner’s cheque in this event.
Last start, the Trapeze Artist gelding was second-up for his new stable and did well to finish fourth in a BM58 over 1200m on his home track.
Justin Stanley settled him back in the field and straightened with the whole field in front of him before running home strongly and just missed a podium finish in the 10-strong event.
Nicely drawn in gate four here, Nash Rawiller has the reins for this assignment and looks to settle the three-year-old just behind the early speed.
The extra distance looks ideal for him with two runs under his belt and a clear run to the line should see him hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 8: No.9 Eleanor Nancy
Toowoomba trainer Mark Currie makes the seven-hour trip north today and saddles-up Eleanor Nancy who is unbeaten in two starts this preparation and looks a strong chance for a podium finish in the event.
Last start, the Dubious filly came off her first-up maiden win on home soil when she franked that effort by taking out a BM55 over 1200m at Kilcoy.
With Bailey Wheeler backing up that day, he settled the filly mid-field one off the fence before peeling off heels and finishing too strong for them in the end.
Taking on her own age group here, the three-year-old is well drawn in gate four where she does no early work to settle better than mid-field with cover.
Jai Williams is legged aboard for the first time and with a clear run to the line, the filly looks a solid each-way chance in this contest.
