Race 2: No.10 Age Of Grace
Race 5: No.8 Astro World

Race 2: No.10 Age Of Grace

The Adam Durrant-trained galloper has her third race start today and with a gear change here, looks a winning chance in this event.

Last start, the well-bred So You Think filly finished mid-field again, here in a 2000m Maiden with Zephen Johnston-Porter in the saddle.

Settling mid-field, the filly tended to hang-out in the race and in the run home, just held her ground and finished fifth in the event.

The three-year-old returns today after a three-week break and has William Pike at the helm who boasts a 28% success rate with the stable.

The stable have also decided to fit the blinkers on her for the first time and from gate four, she maps to settle mid-field again, with cover.

Fitter now for two runs this time in, she comes in on the limit as well carrying 55.5kgs and with all this in mind, she looks more than capable of figuring in the finish here.

Race 5: No.8 Astro World

Michael Grantham saddles-up Astro World here who resumes off a six-month break and with the benefit of a recent trial, looks ready to rock on fresh legs today.

Last start, the Pierro filly ended her first preparation without missing a podium finish when she took home third prize in a Class 1 Hcp over 1400m at Bunbury.

Steven Parnham had the reins that day and after being trapped wide most of the way, the filly did well to grab the minor prize in the race.

She draws wide here in gate ten but maps to cross and settle near mid-field with new rider Clint Johnston-Porter in the saddle today.

Formerly with the Donna Riordan stable, the three-year-old has her first start for Grantham today and with a trouble-free run here, looks in the mix to perform first-up.

Race 6: No.2 Kiralui

The Team Pearce-trained Kiralui is third-up today and has the runs on the board that suggest she can figure in this event.

Last start, the Safeguard mare came off a first-up win at Bunbury when she surprisingly took up the front running and looked the goods until the final 100m when she yielded to the challenges and finished fifth in a Class 5 Hcp over 1200m at Ascot.

She draws the fence today and with Shaun O'Donnell remaining aboard, race tactics are unclear after that last start surprise.

She didn’t look comfortable leading the way last time, so if she takes a sit today, and could even be box-seating, being a winner third-up already the five-year-old will strip fitter with those two runs behind her and she can make a real race of it today.
