Pinjarra racing takes place on Wednesday, April 16 with a 7-race program set down for Pinjarra racetrack.
- Race 5: No.3 Snippy Sean
- Race 6: No.6 Redback Flyer
- Race 7: No.7 Famous Dream
We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Pinjarra racetrack.
Race 5: No.3 Snippy Sean
The Daniel Morton-trained Snippy Sean is third-up today and has shown enough since resuming that he is ready to fire in this event.
Last start, the Snippetson gelding came off an unplaced first-up effort when second-up he improved enough to beat all but one home in a strong Class 3 Hcp over 1400m at Ascot.
Dropping sharply in grade here, he takes on Class 1 company back in the country and has Brad Parnham steering the ship for the second time.
Ideally drawn in gate two, he maps to settle better than mid-field with cover and already a winner when third-up, he looks right in the mix in this contest.
Race 6: No.6 Redback Flyer
Michael Lane saddles-up Redback Flyer here who is high flying this time in and looks the one to beat in this event.
Last start, the Playing God gelding went one better than his first-up effort when he broke through for his Maiden win, here over the 1600m journey.
On the Scarpside track, Holly Watson had him leading on settling and taking a two-length lead into the home straight, he found another gear and held the 16-strong field at bay, crossing the line with tat two length advantage in his pocket.
He steps up to Class 3 company here but is facing country class opposition with Brad Parnham legged aboard for the first time.
Ideally drawn in gate two, he maps to settle near the speed today and even fitter for two runs back, he should prove hard to hold out in this contest.
Race 7: No.7 Famous Dream
The Tim Crosby-trained galloper looks a promising type who is second-up today and looks ideally placed for back-to-back wins in this event.
Last start, the Akeed Mofeed filly had her first start for the new stable and impressed immediately when she claimed a Class 3 Hcp over 1000m, here on the Scarpside track.
With apprentice Ava Catarino aboard for the first time, she had the filly leading from barrier rise and did best to hold off the challenges and claim the gold medal.
She draws nicely in gate two and maps to be showing them the way again with Catarino remaining aboard and brings with her a 3kg claim, reducing the weight to 54kgs for this assignment.
A winner second-up last preparation, if she gets to dictate terms here again, she could prove just as hard to run down in this contest.
