Pakenham Racing Tips for April 17- Ciaron Maher sprinter can go on with it after dominant first up win

Zouper Fund can make it back to back wins when he steps out in Race 4. The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper has had just the two career starts and resumed with a dominant performance at Ballarat over the 1000m on March 25, settling handy before rounding up his rivals with 200m to go and clearing out to a two-length win. The runner-up out of that has since won at Cranbourne. He sticks to the 1000m and should have improvement to come at his second run. 

This looks to be a suitable assignment for Miss Playlounge. The Clinton McDonald filly is yet to win in five starts but was solid when resuming at Sandown over the 1300m with a 4th before tackling the $500,000 VOBIS Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield and placing 7th behind Benagil. She drops sharply in grade for this and should be nearing her peak at her third run back from a spell. The daughter of Shamus Award draws to save ground from the inside barrier and will be ridden by Ben Melham, who strikes at 25% for the stable. 

Perfect Gold shapes as an each-way player in Race 8. The Dom Sutton mare has had two runs this time in for a win in this grade when resuming at Bendigo before tackling a BenchMark 70 at Sandown and placing 5th behind Zloties. Form out of that has been rock solid with the winner claiming the recent Gold Bracelet at Bendigo, while the 4th placegetter has since won at Ballarat. Perfect Gold drops back to BM64 and was a winner at this stage of her last preparation.
