Orange racing takes place on Friday, April 11 with an 8-race program set down for Orange racetrack.
- Race 3: No.4 Pleasurize
- Race 6: No.10 Tulipwood
- Race 7: No.7 Tajawal
We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Orange racetrack.
Race 3: No.4 Pleasurize
Unbeaten in two starts, the Luke Pepper-trained Pleasurize looks well placed here to frank her first two efforts and bring the hat-trick in this event.
Last start, the Winning Rupert filly came off her debut Maiden win at Moruya when she stepped-up to BM58 company and again stamped her authority on her rivals that day when she repeated the dose over 1000m at Goulburn.
She meets similar company here and has just 2.5kgs more to carry today with Claire Ramsbotham staying out in the saddle.
Drawn ideally in gate three, she maps to be showing them the way from barrier rise and in winning form at the moment, it’s hard to tip against her in this contest.
Race 6: No.10 Tulipwood
The Neasham & Archibald-trained galloper has impressed at her past two runs and fourth-up today, looks all set to give this event a real shake.
Last start, the well-bred Russian Revolution filly came off her maiden win at Dubbo and stepping up in grade, did well to finish third in a BM58 over 1300m on the Beaumont track at Newcastle.
Grant Buckly was aboard for her last two starts and sticks with the filly for this assignment where she draws gate five and maps to settle mid-field with cover.
At her peak after three runs to date, a clear passage to the line here should see her challenging for victory at great odds today.
Race 7: No.7 Tajawal
Another from the Neasham & Archibald stable is Tajawal who has found his best form of late and looks set to go on with it in this event.
Last start, the Frankel gelding came off a big third-up win at Taree when he stepped-up sharply in grade and was impressive when beating all but one home in a BM80 over 2100m at Tamworth.
Beaten just a neck on the line that day, connections have decided to run him against Open company here with Jean Van Overmeire returning from that Taree winning ride to take the helm for this assignment.
Ideally drawn in gate three today, he maps to settle just behind the speed on the fence and with 4kgs less to carry here, he looks a sound each-way investment to be there at the finish, fighting for a podium spot in this contest.
