Northam racing takes place on Wednesday, July 2 with a 7-race program set down for Northam racetrack.

Race 3: No.4 Fantaxtic

The Mitch Pateman-trained Fantaxtic is second-up today and looks well drawn to improve even further in this event.

Last start, the Sessions gelding resumed off a 13-week spell and with Holly Watson aboard, claimed third prize in a Class 1 Hcp over 1200m at Bunbury.

Travelling wide most of the way, the three-year-old still managed to record the best race sectionals to arrive in time and claim the minor prize for the race.

Jarad Noske rode him to his maiden victory four starts back and returns today to take the reins for this assignment.

Nicely drawn in gate four, he maps to settle just behind the speed and fitter for that first-up run, looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.

Race 4: No.1 Art Session

Team Pearce saddle-up Art Session here who is in outstanding form and with the important boxes ticked here, he looks set for back-to-back success in this event.

Last start, the Sessions gelding made it two wins from his past three starts when he claimed victory in a Class 1, here over the 1000m sprint.

Zephen Johnston-Porter was aboard for the first time and rode the gelding a treat, leading from barrier to box.

He steps-up in grade here and takes on Class 3 company today with his resume suggesting he is capable of handling the harder task.

From gate six, he maps to settle on the speed again with Johnston-Porter steering the ship again.

Now a track and distance winner and in top-shelf form, he looks the testing material in this contest.

Race 5: No.5 Aphrodite Magic

The Team Casey-trained galloper has found her mojo now and looks ideally placed here to claim another win on the Northam track.

Last start, the War Chant filly finally shook off the maiden monkey and scored her first career-win by taking out an 1100m Maiden on this track.

With Brayden Gaerth aboard, she settled mid-field with cover before taking over halfway home and going on to clobber her rivals, putting three lengths on them over the line.

Chris Parnham steers the ship today and gets all the favours from gate one where the three-year-old maps to be box-seating on settling.

A last start winner at the track and drawn to perfection, she looks the one to beat I n this contest.
