- Mornington Race 6 No. 5- Master Right
- Mornington Race 7 No.8- Okesutora
- Mornington Race 10 No. 12- Kalimna Views
We have the best bets picked out from across the day with value selections for Mornington Racecourse.
Mornington Race 6 No. 5- Master Right
Master Right can go close in Race 6 of the day. The six-year-old has been racing well without winning in recent times and has placed at his past three starts. He settled handy before being gunned down late at Moe over the 2050m two starts ago before again lining up at that track on August 18, with that coming over the 1628m. The son of Denman settled back on that occasion before making up good ground late to place 3rd. He gains the services of Damian Lane and should be strong late in the piece.
Mornington Race 7 No.8- Okesutora
This looks to be a suitable assignment for Okesutora. The Nick Ryan-trained galloper was a winner over the 2000m in Maiden grade at Ballarat two starts ago before tackling a BenchMark 64 at Sandown over the 2400m and running 6th behind Djockovic. He was well in the market that day but may have had an excuse as he pulled up with a poor recovery. This looks much easier for the son of Tosen Stardom, who just needs to relax a fraction better in the run.
Mornington Race 10 No. 12- Kalimna Views
Kalimna Views can make amends in the final race of the day after battling at Caulfield at her most recent start. That came over the 1400m in the VOBIS Gold Ingot and she never really travelled well. The John McArdle filly drops back in distance and was excellent over the 1100m prior to that at Caulfield when running on behind Manolo Bling, while she was a winner at Pakenham earlier this year at her only other run. She will tuck into a midfield spot and anything near her best will trouble these.
