Kyneton racing takes place on Thursday, April 10, with a nine-race program set down for Kyneton racetrack.

Race 3 No.10- Black Cherry
Race 5 No.4- Perfect Gold
Race 6 No. 6- Self Serve

Race 3 No.10- Black Cherry

This is a weak Maiden and Black Cherry can show up at an each-way price. The Henry Dwyer filly was last of the seven runners when resuming over the 1000m at Warrnambool but wasn't beaten far. She was back on a crawling tempo in that race and produced the fastest 600m-400m split but lost momentum after that when switching out before coming back again late with the second fastest final split. Step to the 1200m should suit and this does look easier.

Race 5 No.4- Perfect Gold

Perfect Gold looks well placed in Race 5. The four-year-old was a first up winner at Bendigo in this grade to kick off her campaign then was tried in a BenchMark 70 at Sandown on March 19, placing 5th behind Zloties. Form out of that has held up with the 4th placegetter taking out a BM64 at Ballarat, while the runner-up, Thames, performed well at Caulfield on Saturday. Perfect Gold drops in grade for this and was a winner at the third run of her last campaign. She saves ground from barrier 1 and just needs the gaps to open at the right time.

Race 6 No. 6- Self Serve

Self Serve can go on with the job in Race 6. The Danny O’Brien-trained galloper was a debut winner at Warrnambool over the 1000m on March 10, edging out Foxman. Those two put a gap on the rest and she went 1.7 lenghts slower than standard benchmark, which is three lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. She was strong to the line that day with the fastest last 200m and should have scope for improvement at her second start.
