Geelong Racing Tips for April 11- Stardealt to be hard to hold out in Race 7 at Geelong

Cecchetti should be hard to beat in Race 2 at Geelong. The Matt Cumani-trained galloper was an improver second up when stepping to the 2000m at Ballarat, making late ground to place 3rd behind Matrimonial, beaten half a length. He went 2.4 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is seven lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. The three-year-old comes into this third up and was a four-length improver at this stage of his last preparation when 4th behind Goldrush Guru at Listed level. The son of Fiorente is racing like he wants the trip, while he will be saving plenty of ground from the inside barrier. 

Stardealt can chalk up a win in Race 7. The four-year-old has placed at his last three starts, going within a length in all three. He drops back in trip after running on from the back over the 2000m at Morphetville on March 10 when weaving a passage late in the race. Form prior to that was over the 1600m and 1800m. He just needs a bit of tempo in this race and should get that with Hoody’s Horse and Revolver to go forward.
