Buades can go close in Race 3 at Cranbourne. The Godolphin galloper was a winner when resuming before rising to a BenchMark 64 and finishing a narrow runner-up behind Milo at Mornington, putting a big gap on the rest of them. He has had one run since then when handy in a race that developed into a sit sprint before just peaking late for 5th, again at Mornington. The son of Lonhro should be at his peak after three runs and will settle within striking distance. 

Azeezle shapes as a major player in Race 5. The promising galloper has won two of six and was too good for them at Mornington when resuming before heading to Caulfield on Boxing Day and finishing 4th behind Castellar. He was working into it when checked at a vital time in the straight. At the third run of his last campaign he peaked on benchmark figures, going a healthy 9.4 lengths faster than standard benchmark in a strong form race at Caulfield. The son of Exceed And Excel has the early speed to negotiate the barrier and carries minimum weight in this race. 

Cash Converter can go a couple of spots better than a last start effort that saw him place 3rd at Seymour over the 1400m on December 19. The four-year-old settled back from the wide barrier in that race and made up plenty of ground in the straight with the fastest last 200m to place behind Castle On High and Revelare, who has since come out and won. Cash Converter draws better for this assignment and gives the impression that the 1500m should suit.
