Race 4 No.2- Corona Lad

Corona Lad can make it back to back wins when he steps out in Race 4. The six-year-old was doing his best work late at his most recent start when scoring at the track over the 1600m by half a length from Didn't Miss Many. The Nathan Dunn-trained galloper went 6.5 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is more than three lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. He was a winner at this stage of his last preparation when stepping up from the 1600m to the 1741m at Geelong before performing well without winning in Saturday grade. He gets the large claim for Luke Cartwright and draws to enjoy a cushy run from barrier 2.

Caulfield Race 7 No.10- Shehungthemoon

Shehungthemoon should find this easier than a last start effort that saw him place 3rd at the track on April 16. The Anthony & Sam Freedman filly led them up in a BenchMark 70 and was no match late for Smart Little Miss, finishing a one-length 3rd behind that horse. She narrowly missed in BenchMark 64 company at Ballarat prior to that behind the handy Pocket Size, putting a decent gap on the rest of them. The daughter of I Am Invincible comes back in class and might look to box seat this time around from barrier 2. Ben Melham rides.

Caulfield Race 8 No.1- Fickle

Keen on Fickle at her first run back from a spell. The Tom Dabernig mare shows a stack of promise and won four of seven at her last preparation, finishing runner-up in a further two. She missed out in a solid form race when resuming at Warrnambool before chalking up big margins at that track and Moonee Valley before winning at the track and trip. This looks a solid platform for her to kick off and she comes in with a winning trial, while the 3kg claim for Jordyn Weatherley gets her down to a winnable weight. The apprentice hoop strikes at a healthy 29% for the stable, providing a 32% profit on turnover.
