The Bernie Miller-trained galloper has found his mojo for this campaign and now looks set to continue the good work in this event.

Last start, the Universal Ruler gelding finally cracked it for his first win this time in when he beat home a One-Metro-Win field over the mile at Ascot.

Regular rider Patrick Carbery has been aboard for 23 of the gelding’s 26 starts and after steering him to that last win, remains in control for this assignment.

He gets the gun-run from gate one here where he maps to be parked in the box-seat, right on the leader’s heels on settling.

Podium finishes at his past three starts suggest he is in top-shelf form now and should prove hard to hold out in this contest.

Race 7: No.8 Watch Me Rock

Team Williams saddle Watch Me Rock here who takes on Listed company for the first time and second-up looks well placed to out the event.

Last start, the well-bred Awesome Rock gelding his fifth win from his past seven starts when first-up, he arrived in time to claim the winner’s cheque in a BM72 over 1200m at Ascot.

With regular rider William Pike at the helm, he settled two pairs back, one off the fence, and on straightening, pulled out and finished best to salute.

Pike has ridden the four-year-old to five of his six career wins and is in pride of place for this contest.

Nicely drawn in gate five, he maps to settle in a similar position to last start and drops 4.5kgs for the assignment as well.

Pike boasts a 30% success rate for the stable and with the lessor weight to carry here, the gelding looks the one to beat.

Race 9: No.2 Essentric Nature

Pike and Team Williams link-up again here with Essentric Nature and in top-shelf form this preparation, look the testing material in this event.

Last start, the Savabeel gelding made it win number two from three starts this time in when he came from back in the field to grab victory in a One-Metro-Win Hcp over 1500m at Ascot.

With William Pike aboard for the first time, he settled one off the fence with just two behind him in the field of eight.

Running home strongly, he took over inside the final 100m and went on to take the accolades by half a length on the line.

He meets similar company here as he drops back to the 1400m trip and has Pike sticking with him for this challenge.

From barrier eight, he maps to settle near mid-field with cover and at his peak here, he should prove hard to hold out.
