Our blackbookers to follow from racing on May 21 with the team assembling their runners to follow from the Belmont, Flemington, Morphettville and Rosehill cards.

Race 8 - Power Of St George (fourth): Was disappointing over spring, but two strong efforts to start this campaign suggests this gelding is back on track. After narrowly missing fresh behind an in-form and hard-fit rival, he appeared to hit a flat spot second-up when the pace slackened, but again got through his gears when clear. Should go close third-up.

Race 9 - Liwia (ninth): Found this file second-up after a plain return and while well held here, this listed winner is ticking over well for ideally the 1400m-1600m range shortly. There was zero intent from an inside draw, which forced her towards the rear on settling and eventually getting to the outside in the run home, has recorded good closing sectionals.

Race 7 - Florescent Star (seventh): Everyone is talking about the run from It’sourtime out of the race, but little did they notice the $31 shot in Florescent Star who drew an inside gate, but found the outside fence in the home run. If she had of stuck to the inside, it is fair to say that she nearly wins, rocketing home over checking over heels late in the piece.

Race 9 - Mask Up (third): It was a case of getting too far back in the run for this gelding, coming off two wins in SA where he looked a smart horse. He has now measured up to city class and although I did feel he would be suited down the straight, the field size saw him get too far back going up in grade. Back around a bend, he may be able to sit more handy.

Race 2 - Full Probe (third): Needed the run first-up, albeit was only beaten 2.5 lengths and behind a stakes class winner in Extremely Lucky, it's worth forgiving the beaten margin of 4.8 lengths here, especially as he was working wide on a strong speed and was coming again on the line. Over a little further, he's ready put a few together in Adelaide.

Race 3 - Jean Valjean (fifth): A lightly raced and talented gelding that's had no luck this campaign. After being held-up at a key stage fresh, he covered ground second-up and from an inside draw here, was held-up until the 200m and was in restricted room throughout. Goes close with clean air, but there's plenty of time to atone and he still has a low rating.

Race 4 - Anagain (second): Talented filly that's been interestingly placed. Following a provincial debut win, she was Group 3 placed behind Paulele and while Anagain didn't come up in a sole spring outing, she looks back on track. After a first-up Hawkesbury Guineas tilt, she relished the drop in grade and peeled off easily the fastest last 200m of this event (12.60).

Race 8 - Lady Of Luxury (third): A super honest mare that put the bridesmaid tag to bed with four wins last campaign, she was excellent here on resumption. Without anything taking her into the race and with winner enjoying the perfect run, she still looked the winner at the 150m before fitness gave out. Recorded the fastest last 600m of the meeting (35.66).
