Zac Lloyd settled the three-year-old mid-field on the fence and in the run home, peeled off heels and hit the line strongly to grab the minor prize, just one bound short off the silver medal.

Already a winner when second-up, he will strip fitter next time out and looks well worth following this preparation.

The James Cummings-trained galloper was first-up after more than seven months off the scene and while finishing out of the placings, still caught the eye when taking home fifth prize in the BM72 Hcp.

Turning for home, she was still last of the 12 runners before Rachel King weaved her way through traffic and despite being tightened for room, she showed a strong finishing burst over the final 100m to pass half the field, beaten less than three lengths on the line.

Never off the podium before that run on Saturday, she will only improve off that effort and should be kept safe for at least her next couple of outings.

One of the most eye-catching performances on Saturday came from this Ciaron Maher-trained mare who was fresh off a nine-week break and returned to blow away her rivals in the BM78 contest.

From gate 11 (of 15), Braith Nock had the Dundeel mare settled mid-field with cover, then on straightening, grew an extra leg and exploded to the lead inside the final 200m before crossing the line more than four lengths clear in the end.

Placed in both second-up efforts to date, the four-year-old will only strip fitter next start and looks a certain blackbook entry for this preparation.
