Horses to follow and blackbookers who caught the Blackbook.com.au team's eye at the Flemington meeting on June 19.

Race 3 - Toff Love (sixth)

This galloper was rather unlucky behind Express Pass, just held up for a run right at the time when the winner was able to knuckle down and build his revs. Once Toff Love was out of the pocket, Jamie Kah was able to get stuck into work abord the gelding, but it was all too late as the bird had flown, but I was very impressed with the manner in which he attacked the line with all other horses at their top. Another 1000m-1100m race in metro Melbourne would not be out of his league.

Race 7 - Sir Davy (ninth)

Hard to believe that a 9th place getter was unlucky not to win a race by lengths. He simply had rump all in front of him as it was a wall of horse attacking the line in the Creswick. There was nothing John Allen could do aboard Sir Davy who looks to have a lot of ability, and although his win would have well and truly boosted his rating, we can take confidence that he should have won.
