Horses to follow and blackbookers who caught the team's eye at the Caulfield meeting on August 14.

Race 6 - Mr Mozart (fourth)

It was a big run from this son of Snitzel, clearly looking for more ground the 1100m on Saturday. It took three quality horses to beat him, all of which are better suited over the sprint trips while he is going to improve possibly out to 1400m-1600m. Last prep, he raced the likes of Saif and Coverge, the latter coming on to be a group one winner in the winter, so he has serious form around him.

Race 7 - Najmaty (fourth)

She was a major pain pre-race, not wanting to load and was very edgy in the mounting yard, so did herself no favours before the jump. Najmaty landed last on the fence in the running and had to keep coming over heels to find some clear air, but once she did, boy did she hit the line. Ran the eighth fastest last 200m of the day, meaning she should be able to get over 1200m comfortably next start.

Race 8 - Superstorm (fourth)

It was a big run from the 2020 Australian Guineas runner-up, where he looks as if third-up is when we may want to be on board. He ran the fourth fastest last 400m of the day in 22.31, super time first-up. Be wary second-up that a flat one could be produced or still a run short, but third-up he looks ready to pounce, which could well be in a race like the Turnbull Stakes.
